Striped fingerless mitts inspired by the marinière, worked from wrist to fingers with a neatly shaped thumb gusset.

These mitts are worked from the cuff to the fingers, increasing on one side form the thumb. Knitting stripes punctuate the work well. As they are worked in the round, I suggest you make the stripes with a special technique to minimize the inevitable jog at the beginning of the round.

Suggested yarn – Fingering:
Main Color: approximately 80 (88-97) meters / 88 (97-106) yards.
Contrasting Color: approximately 48 (54-59) meters / 53 (59-65) yards.

Needles:
3 mm / US 2.5 circular needles suggested.
3.25 mm / US3 circular needles suggested.

Finished measurements:
The recommanded positive ease to wear the mitts is from 1.5 to 2.5 cm / 0.4 to 0.8 in at the hand circumference:
S: 15 cm / 6 in – M: 16.5 cm / 6.5 in – L: 18cm / 7 in
