A little before / after the testknit of the Seabreeze top 🌊 The Seabreeze launches June 21st, a summer top in @pascuali_official Arctic Pearl and Suave, all about texture play : stripes of Suave + Arctic Pearl held together, and stripes of Arctic Pearl with one thread. To give the borders some structure, I knitted sleeves and body hem with 2 threads of Arctic Pearl. But on the neckline, the doubled version felt too heavy (second picture). Too present next to the rest of the top. With a single strand and smaller needles, the result becomes much more delicate, in keeping with the rest of the top. I wasn't convinced at first, so I waited for feedback from testing before deciding. Thank you to my testers for these exchanges, every single test, it's a moment I really value. Pour donner de la tenue aux bordures, j'ai tricoté tout les bords des manches et du corps en Arctic Pearl double. Mais sur l'encolure, le rendu en double n'était pas assez délicat. Trop présent face au reste du top (photo 2). Avec un seul fil et des aiguilles plus petites, le rendu devient beaucoup plus subtil, à l'image de tout le reste du top. Je n'étais pas convaincue au départ, j'ai attendu les retours du test pour trancher. Merci à mes testeuses pour ces échanges. À chaque test, c'est un moment que j'apprécie énormément. #5 in my series of samples for the @showroomfibresconnexion which took place last weekend in Vichy. The Tuileries polo by @knits.pourmoi worked in Sole by @pascuali_official. A sport-weight yarn made of 90% Pima cotton and 10% cashmere: beautifully consistent, with excellent stitch definition and a slight sheen that really enhances the colours. I used the shade Blush 108 and 7 balls for this relaxed-fit version. This pattern is a bit technical, and I absolutely loved knitting it. Between the textured stitch pattern, the neckline with its button placket, and the polo collar, whose neat finishing details always bring me joy, it makes for an engaging and rewarding knit. The result is structured, comfortable, and elegant. As for the buttons, we hesitated for quite a while at @surunfil.orsay, but in the end, these ones, which reminded us of a swimming pool, were the obvious choice. J'ai utilisé le coloris Blush 108 et 7 pelotes pour cette version ample. Ce patron est un peu technique, j'ai beaucoup aimé. Entre le point texturé, l'encolure avec sa patte de boutonnage et le col polo dont les finitions soignées me font toujours bien plaisir… cela donne un tricot rythmé et challengeant. Le résultat est structuré, confortable, élégant. Pour les boutons, on a longuement hésité chez @surunfil.orsay et puis ces boutons qui nous ont rappelé la piscine se sont imposés. #4 of my sample series for the @fibresconnexionshowroom Colours that are very much not matching the weather here. Hello grey skies! The Uukii Sweater by @rosa_knits worked in @pascuali_official Manada. A 4-fibre blend : mohair, silk, merino and yak. The result is closer to Suri than classic mohair : softer in my opinion, less fluffy. You can knit it held double with an other yarn, but here I used 5mm needles for an airy, ultra-light sweater with just a hint of warmth. I love the result! The pattern is a straightforward top-down, I adapted it slightly for my stripes, mainly by moving the beginning-of-round so yarn changes happen neatly along the armhole. I also added an i-cord on the borders. Yarn-wise, it doesn't use much : 1 skein of blue, 1 of yellow and 2 of fuchsia for size 3. Bonjour la grisaille ! L'Uukii Sweater de @rosa_knits tricoté en Manada de @pascuali_official. Un fil composé de 4 fibres : mohair, soie, mérinos et yak. Son rendu est plus proche du Suri que du mohair classique : plus doux à mon goût, moins poilu. On peut le tricoter avec un autre fil comme on le ferait avec un mohair classique, mais ici en déjaugé sur des aiguilles 5 mm pour un petit pull aérien, ultra léger, avec juste une touche de chaleur. J'adore ! Le patron est un top-down tout simple, je l'ai légèrement adapté pour mes rayures, principalement en déplaçant le marqueur de début de tour pour que les changements de fil se fassent bien le long de l'emmanchure. J'ai aussi ajouté un i-cord sur les bordures. Côté fil, j’ai eu besoin de : 1 pelote de bleu, 1 de jaune et 2 de fuchsia pour la taille 3.
